Trackwell eLOG offers a tailored solution for on-board catch registration, being able to adapt to local, regional, or international regulations as needed. This platform its simple and intuitive, and its suitable for all kinds of fishing vessels with both a desktop and a mobile version.
Catch information is automatically transmitted from the vessels and available on-shore in real-time. Users are provided with save and secure access to the information through a standard web browser. The system allows users to extract data to view reports that provide comparison of fishing grounds and vessels over a selected time period.
The interface is simple to use and works well with smart phones and tablets.
Additionally, users will receive daily fishing report by email, or can be notified when the trip is finished, and the vessel is heading to port.
Trackwell eLOG was first introduced in 2001 in Iceland, one of the first countries to implement on-board catch registration as mandatory and has been used by all larger fishing vessels since 2004. About 250 vessels in Iceland send their fishing data to the government through our desktop platform installed in the vessels’ on-board computers, and another 400 smaller vessels use the Trackwell mobile eLOG app to send daily reports to Icelandic fishing authorities. Other countries such as Norway have also been using Trackwell’s catch logbook for sending daily reports to their fisheries authorities for over a decade.
