Cookie Policy

Effective date: 23 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Trackwell hf. (“Trackwell”, “we”) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://trackwellfims.com, and how you can control them.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember your choices and help us understand how the site is used. Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies); others are set by services we use, such as Google (third-party services).

2. How we ask for your consent

When you first visit the site, a cookie banner asks for your choice. Only necessary cookies are used until you decide. You can:

  • Accept All – allow analytics and advertising cookies.
  • Reject All – allow only necessary cookies.
  • Customize – choose category by category.

We use cookies in these categories:

  • Necessary – needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. Always active.
  • Analytics – help us understand how visitors use the site (Google Analytics). Only with your consent.
  • Advertisement – measure the results of our Google Ads campaigns. Only with your consent.

Your choice is stored for 12 months, after which we ask again.

Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you give consent.

4. Third-party services

  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) – shows us how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and how visitors find us. Data is kept for 14 months.
  • Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd.) – measures whether visits from our ads lead to enquiries or phone calls.
  • YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.) – one page contains an embedded video. It uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and its preview image is stored on our own server, so nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. YouTube may then set its own cookies.

These services are managed through Google Tag Manager.

Google Consent Mode. We use Google Consent Mode, which passes your cookie choice to Google. If you decline analytics or advertising cookies, no cookies are stored for these purposes. Google may still receive limited signals without cookies or identifiers (for example that a page was loaded). These are used only for aggregated measurement.

For more information about how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

5. Changing or withdrawing your consent

You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie Settings button in the bottom-left corner of every page. Withdrawing consent stops new analytics and advertising cookies from being used.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly without necessary cookies.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the tools we use. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.

7. Contact

For questions about cookies or your personal data, contact us at fims@trackwell.com or Trackwell hf., Laugavegur 178, 105 Reykjavík, Iceland. More information about how we process personal data is in our Privacy Policy.
