Trackwell FiMS at IFOMC 2025 in Reykjavík, Iceland

The International Fisheries Observer & Monitoring Conference (IFOMC) is the premier global event dedicated to advancing fishery monitoring programs to ensure sustainable marine resource management. The next IFOMC will take place from May 19–23, 2025, at Harpa in Reykjavík, Iceland.

Trackwell FiMS will be attending and actively participating. We see this as a great opportunity to connect with industry leaders, share insights, and discuss the future of fisheries monitoring.

Trackwell will have two lectures:

  • Lessons learned from developing and implementing an e-Log app for small-scale fishers in Iceland.
  • The challenges of past- and future-proofing data management in Fisheries Management software.

Finally, we will have a poster presenting Trackwell FiMS ‘s research on how Trackwell foresees integrating multiple datasets, and by using AI/ML technology to provide deeper insights and aid in decision making regarding needs for at-sea observation and inspections.
As an Iceland-based company, Trackwell FiMS is proud to welcome the international fisheries community to our home country. If you or anyone from your organization is attending, we would love to meet with you in person—whether at the conference or at our offices in Reykjavík. This is a perfect chance to strengthen our collaboration, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities in vessel monitoring and fisheries management.

An extensive program is being crafted for the conference, covering the latest advancements and benefits of fisheries monitoring programs and Trackwell FiMS will have a lecture and posters to contribute to these discussions. Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can arrange a time to connect!
